She did it again – and this time right. Kourtney Kardashian (43) and Travis Barker (46) said yes on Sunday in Santa Barbara (California). This is reported by several US media. And unlike the impromptu marriage by an Elvis double in Las Vegas in early April, the “and until death do us part” really counted this time.
In the presence of their bodyguards, a few close friends and family members, the singer and the reality show actress drove up to the registry office in downtown Santa Barbara in a black Mustang convertible. Kardashian wore a white fitted dress while Barker wore a tuxedo. Kardashian’s grandmother Mary Jo Campbell (87) stood by her granddaughter as maid of honor. Afterwards, the bride and groom went on their honeymoon in their “wedding carriage”, on the radiator of which a sign read “Just married”.
The April 4 wedding in Las Vegas had no official status because the couple had not previously applied for a marriage license. The eldest Kardashian sister had been to the Gambling City for the Grammys with the Blink 182 drummer. After a boozy afterparty, the couple showed up at the One Love Wedding Chapel on Las Vegas Boulevard at 1:30 a.m. Monday morning.
Kourtney Kardashian says: “Practice makes perfect”
Kourtney didn’t care that the wedding didn’t count, later writing on her Instagram page: “It was an epic night with a bit too much tequila. We went to Elvis to marry without a marriage license. Practice makes perfect!”
Travis Barker proposed to Kourtney Kardashian in October 2021. Featuring a massive diamond ring on the beach at the Rosewood Miramar Beach Hotel in Montecito, a favorite spot of the couple. After the ceremony in Santa Barbara, the big party is to follow. The “People” magazine reports that there will soon be a “big Italian wedding”. All details are already fixed. A source says: “The whole family, including all the children, are very excited.” (cth/paf)
