When fan love becomes too extreme: Luca Hänni (28) has been experiencing this for at least eight years. In 2014 he made it public for the first time that he was being followed by a stalker. Although things have become rather quiet on this topic, the situation has not improved. Together with his fiancee Christina Luft (32), he defends himself with a statement against the stalking of Z.*: They are increasingly denigrating the couple with organizers and advertising partners. Hänni and his management therefore issued an event ban against Z.
According to her, the worship began in 2011 when Luca Hänni took part in “Deutschland sucht den Superstar”. As an 11-year-old, she trembled in front of the “DSDS” candidate’s villa when she spoke to Hänni for the first time, writes Z. on her Instagram profile for a picture that shows her with a tattoo of the singer’s logo . Things came to a head later. In 2014, Luca Hänni spoke about the incident when she appeared in front of his house: The woman in question, who was still a minor at the time, threatened to pour petrol over herself in front of his home and then set herself on fire if he didn’t come outside.
“She was already standing in front of my garage at five in the morning”
There was also talk of biting attacks on other fans – Hänni threw a T-shirt into the audience, and Z. wanted it so much that she didn’t shy away from attacks. In the same year there was also an arrest: the then 15-year-old Z. ran through customs control at Zurich Airport to meet the pop star. It is not clear how many incidents there were in total. “She was already standing in front of my garage in the morning fog at five in the morning when I drove out there in the car,” said Luca Hänni in an interview with “Migros-Magazine” in 2018.
After that it became quiet around Z., although she was still regularly present at the Bernese musician’s events. “I’m just amazed at her endurance, she follows me everywhere. I played once in Hamburg and two days later in Lucerne, she was in the audience at both places, »said Hänni four years ago. Blick knows: Her mother often accompanied her to the events, including Luca Hänni’s participation in the Eurovision Song Contest 2019 in Tel Aviv (Israel).
Social media as a source of information
Z. has already seen Luca Hänni 624 times in her life, she notes on social media. To meet her idol, she uses social media and, after Instagram stories, sometimes waits at the train station to get a photo and talk. “Every meeting has its story,” Z. enthused a year ago. «Life without Luca is no longer possible for me. With every meeting, he gives me the strength to keep going.” And further: “When I’m with him, I know what it’s worth fighting for.”
Z. should have known that this fan love is not met with love in return, at least since the publication of the statement by Luca Hänni and Christina Luft. Counseling centers recommend victims of stalking to share the situation with those around them and the public. This creates understanding and awareness of the difficult situation. “We have no other choice,” writes the couple on Instagram.
