The sad news of the sudden death of Lisa Loring († 64) was published by her longtime friend Laurie Jacobson (69) on Facebook: “It is with great sadness that I announce the death of our friend Lisa Loring. Four days ago she suffered a massive stroke caused by smoking and high blood pressure.” The actress was kept alive artificially for three days, then her family decided to turn off the machines, Jacobson continues in her emotional post. “She will always be in our hearts as Wednesday Addams and as a pop culture icon.”

Loring was a “loving mother” and had a huge impact on the world of entertainment, Jacobson concludes: “Damn, girl – it was so much fun with you!”
Lisa Loring had her first major successes as a child star in the 1960s – between 1964 and 1966 she played the young Wednesday Addams in the US sitcom “The Addams Family”. She also acted as a template for the role with which actress Jenna Ortega (20) is currently celebrating great success in the Netflix spin-off “Wednesday”. In the 1980s, Loring appeared in several other Hollywood productions.
