Petition submitted with over 200,000 signatures
The “Coalition for Corporate Responsibility” submitted a petition with 217,509 signatures to the Federal Chancellery on Thursday. She is calling on the Federal Council and Parliament to pass an effective Corporate Responsibility Act based on the EU model.

In the EU, a cross-thematic due diligence obligation, liability provisions and supervisory authorities are planned. The guidelines go further than the rejected Swiss corporate responsibility initiative, as the petitioners said.
The “huge response” to the petition shows that the population does not want Switzerland to soon be the only country in Europe without corporate responsibility, as the statement said. The collection of signatures started on August 20th. (SDA)
