Sexual abuse of children on the Internet should be combated.
Closer cooperation in combating such crimes and increased prevention is necessary.
In Switzerland, the cantons are primarily responsible for child protection and criminal prosecution. Various actors at the Confederation, in the cantons and in the communes are now fighting the sexual abuse of children committed in cyberspace.
In its report, the Federal Council makes further recommendations. First of all, cyber-sexual offenses should be recorded better. Actors would have to work more closely together within the scope of their competencies. Boost also needs prevention. In addition to children and young people, it is also intended to appeal to parents, teachers and other caregivers. (SDA)
