No corona tests for Chinese at Swiss airports

Switzerland sees no reason for stricter entry rules for Chinese travelers at the moment. In this regard, the federal government is oriented towards the EU. This is considering joint measures. A crisis meeting is planned for next week.
Talks are currently underway among the 27 member states about a common line on travel regulations. So far, however, only individual EU countries such as Italy or Spain have announced tightening or have already implemented them.
No border sanitary measures at the moment
According to information from the Federal Office of Public Health (BAG) on Friday, there are currently no plans to “introduce border sanitary measures” in Switzerland. It cannot be assumed that the current infection situation in China will pose an increased risk to the Swiss healthcare system.
According to the State Secretariat for Migration (SEM), it would undermine European entry regulations if third-country nationals could enter other European countries via Switzerland. Switzerland will therefore be guided by the EU when it comes to entry requirements. (SDA)
