In the annual Corruption Perceptions Index (CPI) published on Tuesday, Switzerland scored 82 out of 100 points, up from 84 points in the previous year. With 7th place, it is still among the top ten countries, wrote Transparency.
However, they are further away from the best possible values. In addition to preventing nepotism, the handling of conflicts of interest and the regulation of lobbying would also have to be improved.
Based on assessments by experts from science and business, the CPI records the perception of corruption in the public sector in 180 countries. At the top of the ranking are Denmark, Finland and New Zealand. At the bottom are Somalia, South Sudan and Syria.
