Niklas Hartweg finished 11th in Antholz.
Flawless shooting – Niklas Hartweg is the best Swiss in eleventh place in the sprint in Antholz. Sebastian Stalder finished 16th as the second best.
The fact that Hartweg is not classified even better is due to the not entirely satisfactory performance on the trail. In this ranking, Hartweg is only number 4 of the Swiss quintet.
Johannes Thingnes Bö from Norway, who is not always perfect in shooting, is doing better. Despite a penalty, he celebrates his 10th win at the 13th start of the season! So he runs in a league of his own even at the altitude of South Tyrol. Only at the start of the World Cup, when Hartweg surprised Kontiolahti with second place in the individual, did he not stand on the podium.
The Norwegian will start the pursuit on Saturday with a large lead. The second placed Swede Martin Ponsiluoma already has a handicap of half a minute.
Hartweg follows 1:26 behind. Sebastian Stalder (16th/1:37) and Serafin Wiestner (21st/1:48) have a good starting position. Jeremy Finello (63rd) and Joscha Burkhalter (74th), on the other hand, have to watch because they miss the top 60. (SDA/par)
