That’s what the Alpstaeg page says about the fan meeting
Sacha Wigdorovits, Bernhard Alpstaegm’s communications consultant, on yesterday’s fan meeting opposite Blick:
“It was a very constructive and very pleasant conversation. Both sides have expressed the will to seek a solution for FC Luzern. On one thing we have a unanimous opinion. Namely that the legal dispute is threatening the existence of the club.
But there are still serious differences of opinion. The fan representatives mean that there should be no majority shareholder. However, we are convinced that it is not possible without one. The FC St. Gallen model, which the fan representatives cited as a role model, is a fair-weather model for us. In the Swiss market, that doesn’t work out in the long run.
FC Basel, YB, FCZ and Sion show that you can only play and survive in the Super League in the long term with a financially strong owner or majority shareholder. That’s why it’s good for FC Luzern if Bernhard Alpstaeg keeps his 52% stake.
The fans see it differently and want to convince us of that. On the other hand, we try to convince them of our opinion. So we will continue to discuss this. We hope to continue the conversation soon.
After all the dishes that have been broken, it’s important to rebuild trust. But it is clear that the fans in the club must have an institutional voice in the future. They have to be able to give their inputs because they have a different perspective on the matter.”
