The players’ association ATP is ending the investigation against the German tennis professional Alexander Zverev.
Olga Scharypova accused the Tokyo Olympic champion of multiple mental and physical violence. The two were a couple for 13 months.
Investigators looked into alleged events at the tournaments in Shanghai, Monaco, New York and Geneva. In addition to Scharypowa and Zverev, they interviewed 24 people.
The 25-year-old Zverev, who has been officially in a relationship with Sophia Thomalla since October 2021, has always firmly rejected all allegations. He welcomed the initiation of the investigation almost a year and a half ago and was cooperative.
