There are no excuses. The Swiss clubs started with great ambitions in the Champions Hockey League and have been able to count on six instead of four foreigners since this season. But only one of the five teams made it into the quarter-finals.

A sobering record that shows that although spectacular ice hockey is played in our league, it is still not internationally competitive. When push comes to shove, the means are lacking. When you need a goal, it turns out it’s not as easy at this level as it is in the league.
