For the 30th time this season, the Columbus Blue Jackets leave the ice as losers. The Swiss defender Tim Berni, who received almost 18 minutes of ice time, could not change the 3:4 defeat against the Calgary Flames.
While the 22-year-old remains without a goal, Johnny Gaudreau provides two assists. It is the first game in Calgary for the 29-year-old American, where he played eight seasons and a total of 602 games between 2014 and 2022. “I’m sure I’ll be booed,” said the striker before the match.
But it turned out very differently: The Flames pay tribute to their former player (609 points, 210 goals) with a video, the fans acknowledge his merit with a standing ovation.
