As a replacement for Beaver Creek
Canceled men’s downhill will be made up for in Val Gardena
The men’s World Cup downhill, which was canceled in Beaver Creek last Friday, will be made up for in Gröden (It) on Thursday, December 15th. This is announced by the International Ski Federation FIS.
A downhill victory in Val Gardena is still missing in the impressive palmarès of world champion and Olympic champion Beat Feuz.
This gives the speed drivers three opportunities to score points on the Saslong. The next day there will be a Super-G in Val Gardena, followed by another descent on Saturday.
For the all-rounders like Marco Odermatt, it then continues without a break to Alta Badia, where a giant slalom is on the program on Sunday and Monday. That’s five races in five days. (SDA)
