In its judgment of November 18, 2022, the Lucerne Cantonal Court only imposed a conditional fine of 70 daily rates on show jumper Paul Estermann. In the first judgment of January 2021, the penalty was 105 daily rates. The Federal Supreme Court overturned the first judgment for procedural reasons.

The internationally successful show jumper is now only found guilty of twice abusing the mare “Castelfield Eclipse” in 2016. The cantonal court already acquitted him of the allegations in relation to the gelding “Lord Pepsi” in the first judgment in two cases, in one case it has now closed the proceedings. (SDA)
