Djoos just about equalizes in the final seconds

The people of Zug managed to equalize 2:2 against Mountfield with 79 seconds to go for an open starting position
Mountfield is a tough nut to crack for EVZ. The Czech discipline does not make it easy for the seemingly despondent Zugers to advance into the danger zone. Nevertheless, they take the lead: After a face-off variant, Lino Martschini scores to make it 1-0.
Although the EVZ finds its way into the game a bit better and picks up a pace, the Czechs have the action under control and often appear in front of goalie Genoni with dangerous scoring chances. The people of Zug, on the other hand, try too little to set offensive accents. They are put under pressure early on.
Compensation 79 seconds before the end
Simply wanting to play down the narrow lead against this opponent is not enough. And the acknowledgment follows promptly: in the final minutes, Mountfield checkmates EVZ with a double strike within 107 seconds. Supposedly. Because suddenly it comes, this reaction of the Swiss champion. Christian Djoos manages to equalize 2-2 with 79 seconds to go.
The starting position is open for the second leg next Tuesday in Zug. A deja vu? Three years ago, the Zug team came home with a draw (1:1) and lost 4:0 at home in the second leg against Mountfield HK, who made it into the semifinals. (NA)
