The 29-year-old from Vaud achieved three podium finishes in his career in the World Cup. Plagued by back problems, he did not qualify once in three attempts this season.
Olympic champion Ryan Regez, world champion Alex Fiva and Luca Lubasch all tore cruciate ligaments within a week in December and will also be out for the rest of the World Cup winter. (SDA)
