Premiere in the sixth game: Willy Gnonto scores for the first time in the Premier League.
It took six games before Willy Gnonto scored for his club Leeds United in the Premier League for the first time.
The 19-year-old former FCZ star showed a strong game against West Ham from the start. The coronation follows in the 27th minute: a one-two with Crysencio Summerville is enough to overturn the Londoners’ back line. Gnonto gets the ball back at the edge of the penalty area, doesn’t hesitate and hits the ball to make it 1-0.
The Peacocks still didn’t have enough to win. With two goals just before and after the break, West Ham can even turn the game around in the meantime. In the 70th minute, Rodrigo finally ensured the final result of 2:2. Gnonto is substituted for Joker Joe Gelhardt in the 90th minute.
Leeds remain in 14th place in the table. The advantage over the first relegation zone is currently two points. (cat)
