According to coach Enrico Maassen, Bundesliga club Augsburg will have to do without Swiss international Ruben Vargas (24) for two to three weeks.
The 24-year-old offensive player suffered a tear in the membrane between his tibia and fibula during the 4-3 defeat in Dortmund on Sunday, which is why he had to be replaced in the 12th minute. Now the downtime is known: Vargas will be absent from Augsburg for two to three weeks.
“Ruben is an absolute key player for us and was in top form, which is bitter for him and for us,” said Maassen ahead of Wednesday’s home game against Borussia Mönchengladbach. (SDA)
