Melanie Hasler and Nadja Pasternack drive to European Championship silver.
One day after Michael Vogt/Sandro Michel, Melanie Hasler and brakewoman Nadja Pasternack also win European Championship silver in Altenberg in the two-man bobsleigh.
The Swiss women are only beaten by the German Olympic champion Laura Nolte, who is 55 hundredths faster together with Neele Schuten.
Silver after a thankless 4th place
The race is also part of the World Cup, with Hasler/Pasternack taking 3rd place in this ranking. Hasler, who is in a relationship with Vogt and finished fourth in the European Championships on Saturday with the monobob, made it onto the podium in the World Cup for the third time. The Americans Kaillie Humphries/Kaysha Love secure the victory.
After the first run, Hasler/Pasternack are in 3rd place before they can overtake the Germans Kim Kalicki/Anabel Galander in the second run. The second Swiss duo, Martina Fontanive/Mara Morell, falls in the first run and does without the final run. (SDA)
