You can hardly look at it: HCD defender Magnus Nygren with a horror injury(00:27)
Drafted by the Nashville Predators in the 2014 NHL draft, Irving began his hockey career in his native Canada, where he made his way through various junior leagues to the Western Hockey League and the Edmonton Oil Kings. There, the 185 cm tall and 93 kg heavy Canadian stood out as a robust defender with scoring qualities (318 games/146 scoring points). Irving then gained experience at Storhamar in Norway (63/51) and in Sweden at Örebro (47/16) for one season each before moving to HC Litvinov in the Czech Extraliga for two years (107/43).
This season Irving played in Finland’s league at SaiPa (42/23). After the club from Lappeenranta failed to qualify for the playoffs, the team officials approved a transfer from Irving. Aaron Irving has signed a contract with HC Davos until the end of this season. As soon as the work visa is in place, he will travel to Davos and then wear number 4 shirt for the HCD. (just)
