From January 4th to 14th, Hertha BSC will fly to a training camp in Florida. Not on board: the captain.
As the Bundesliga club wrote in a statement, Marvin Plattenhardt (30) is not allowed to enter the USA due to his incomplete vaccination status against the corona virus.
The website of the Federal Foreign Office states that only “fully vaccinated air travelers” are allowed to enter the country.
“No problem for us”
While his teammates in the USA prepare for the second half of the season, Plattenhardt stays in Berlin and trains with the U23s.
His coach Marco Schwarz takes it easy: “It’s not a problem for us. We’ll take it as it is and make the best of it.” You want to strengthen the team spirit in the training camp and work on priorities.
