Despite Nico Hischer’s goal, the New Jersey Devils are defeated by the Boston Bruins.
The Devils lost 3-1 at home to the Boston Bruins, the leaders of the Eastern Conference and the most successful team in the entire league to date.
After 46 minutes, Captain Nico Hischier equalized with his 14th goal of the season (with 18 assists) to make it 1-1. But the Bruins scored twice in the last four minutes to decide the game.
Crazy turn of the Red Wings
Pius Suter experienced an eventful evening with the Detroit Red Wings. They were 4-0 down against the Pittsburgh Penguins after a major false start. But then the Michigan franchise started to catch up and saved themselves in overtime with three minutes remaining.
In overtime, defender Jake Walman scored the winning goal after 2 minutes and completed the turnaround for Detroit. Suter came to about 16 minutes of ice time, but remained without a scorer point. (SDA/mab)
