Hitz lets frustration run wild
FCB goalie Marwin Hitz (35) also finds clear words after the crash in sixth place. After rebuffing a reporter last week, the goalkeeper vented his frustration again after the Lucerne bankruptcy in the mixed zone: “We play wildly, allow crosses and free the opponent in the penalty area. That’s brutal. It wasn’t enough of everything today.”

Then Hitz launches a sweeping attack: “We never manage to break through pressure phases. That’s a catastrophe. To speak of second place is courageous when the performance is not right. The reality is brutal. We regularly do things that have no place in adult football.” Hitz compares his team to junior football!
Will it be tight for Alex Frei now?
Hitz himself does not look good with two of the three goals against Lucerne, which is why he gets the Blick grade 3. In general, only the offensive swirlers Zeqiri and Amdouni make a positive impression in the Basel team. But two self-scored goals are not enough if you concede three at the back…
