In the 5-3 home win of the Nashville Predators against the Los Angeles Kings, Roman Josi shines with three assists. The Bernese defender scored two of his three scorer points in the last third, in which the hosts scored three goals to make it 2:3. Josi has 12 goals and 27 assists after 46 games this season.
The other two Swiss players in this game – Nino Niederreiter for the Predators and Kevin Fiala for the Kings – remained without a scorer point. While Nashville celebrated its third win in the last four games, Los Angeles lost for the third straight game.
Berni wins against Meier
In the second Swiss duel, Tim Berni with the Columbus Blue Jackets also won 5:3 against Timo Meier’s San Jose Sharks. The latter could at least console himself with his 27th goal of the season – he made it 1-0 in the 11th minute. The 26-year-old from Appenzeller now has 47 scorer points, which means he has exactly one point per game.
Philipp Kuraschew celebrated his sixth win in the past seven games with the Chicago Blackhawks by beating the St. Louis Blues 5-3, Pius Suter lost 2-1 at home to the Philadelphia Flyers with the Detroit Red Wings, and Janis Moser lost with them the Arizona Coyotes 0-4 at the Dallas Stars. (SDA/mab)
