Juventus Turin has been fined 15 points in Serie A by the Italian sports court for accounting fraud in player transfers. The Turin team was initially acquitted along with ten other clubs in this case, but the public prosecutor’s office is now successful in the appeal.
Juve have posted much higher capital gains and player entitlements in their financial reports than current calculation rules allow. Several former executives have also been suspended, including former President Andrea Agnelli (for two years).
The Italian club can appeal the verdict before the Italian Olympic Committee. (SDA)
