Kevin Schläpfer returns to the gang.
SC Langenthal started the new season extremely badly, with 44 points from 33 games it is only eighth in the table. Clearly not enough for the Oberaargauer. For this reason, sports director Kevin Schläpfer is now taking over as a fireman at the SCL. Former head coach Jeff Campbell is stepping back and becoming assistant coach alongside Robert Othmann.
Schläpfer, who will be sports director at EHC Basel next season, is used to the role. During his time as head of sport at EHC Biel, he stepped in twice as a coach before he was definitely appointed head coach of the Seeländer in 2010. After his release in 2016, he coached EHC Kloten from 2017 to 2018, and has been the sports director of SC Langenthal since 2019. (SDA/hon)
