While YB is ahead of the competition in the Super League, it’s a neck-and-neck race in the Challenge League. After the first game of the second half of the season, Wil (35 points) leads the table ahead of Yverdon (35 points) and Stade-Lausanne-Ouchy (34 points).
Lausanne-Sport follows in fourth place with 31 points. Ludovic Magnin’s team prevented Stade-Lausanne-Ouchy from ousting Wil at the top with the derby victory on the Pontaise (4:2).
In the six-goal spectacle, Suzuki and Schwizer scored twice for the guests, who were only ten after Sanches’ dismissal (56th).
Thanks to two goals in the 70th and 79th minute, Yverdon prevailed 2-0 in Bellinzona. Bottom Xamax gets a point at home thanks to the 1-1 draw against Schaffhausen.
