Czech defender Lukas Klok is set to make a move to Lugano.
HC Lugano’s defense is anything but solid at the moment. But now reinforcements are coming. According to Blick information, the Ticino team, who are stuck in the table cellar, are about to sign Czech national team defender Lukas Klok. Since Lugano separated from his transfer flop Oliwer Kaski, there has been a vacancy on the defensive. Klok should now close this.
The 27-year-old from Ostrava has been a Czech national team player for six years, played a World Cup and last year the Olympic Games in Beijing. Last season he played in the KHL for Neftekhimik Nizhnekamsk but left the club after Russia’s war of aggression against Ukraine. At the beginning of this season, Klok was fighting for an NHL contract with the Arizona Coyotes, but could not prevail and then switched to Rögle in Sweden. So his next stop should now be Lugano.
