With Michelle Wiki, another deserving Swiss international is retiring. Apart from three short trips to Sweden, the 32-year-old played most of her career for the Kloten-Dietlikon Jets, with whom she won five league and cup titles. The lawyer has now decided to end her floorball career for professional reasons.
Wiki played 125 international matches for Switzerland and scored 101 goals. Her two goals at the 2019 home World Cup in Neuchâtel, when the Swiss beat the Czech Republic 6-2 in the semifinals, will not be forgotten. Wiki scored the equalizer and the winning goal to make it 7:6 in extra time. In addition to the silver medal at the 2019 World Championships, she won bronze at the World Championships four times.
