In the crisis: Milan collects the next sensitive bankruptcy.
Little is going on at the Italian champions Milan at the moment. The Rossoneri lose their game against Sassuolo 2:5. Fourth-placed Milan embarrassed themselves against the team from 16th place in the table – and now have to make sure that the Champions League places are not in danger.
The last Milan win was on January 4th (2-1) against Salernitana. After that there were two draws and four sensitive bankruptcies. Including a 0:3 against Inter in the Supercoppa and a 0:4 against Lazio.
And that Lazio can now displace Milan from fourth place – out of the CL places.
Berardi man of the match
Sassuolo convinced with a great team performance, Gregoire Defrel (19th), Davide Frattesi (21st), Domenico Berardi (30th), Armand Lauriente (47th, penalty kick) and Matheus Henrique (79th) met. The outstanding player is Berardi, who also gives three assists. At Milan, the goalscorers are Olivier Giroud (24th) and Divock Origi (81st).
Master maker Stefano Pioli stands in front of his team. “I’m the first person responsible,” he says. And assured: “We have everything to get through this period.”
