Nöldi Forrer has not contested a wrestling festival for almost twelve months because of a meniscus injury suffered at the Appenzeller Kantonale.
Originally, the wrestling king of 2001 wanted to make his comeback at the Zurich canton. But the Toggenburger will not travel to Ossingen on Sunday.
A week’s rest for your knees
“I had severe knee pain after a workout this week. A medical examination on Friday revealed that it was just a minor injury to the meniscus and that the pain could be suppressed with a tablet. But I’d rather give my knee a week more rest.”
Before the medical check-up on Friday, Forrer put a big question mark over the continuation of his career in an interview with Blick. But now the 43-year-old thinks more optimistically: “Now that I have the certainty that my knee is not seriously damaged, I’m really motivated again! And I’m confident that I can start next Sunday at the St. Gallen Cantonal. »
