Marco Odermatt will start again in Cortina d’Ampezzo.
Good Swiss ski news!
Marco Odermatt will definitely start again this weekend. A Super-G race is scheduled for Saturday and Sunday in Cortina d’Ampezzo, Italy. These are the substitute races for the canceled competitions in Gröden (It) and Lake Louise (Ka).
On the Streif in Kitzbühel (Austria), Odermatt was able to prevent a serious fall in extremis. During the manoeuvre, however, the 25-year-old suffered a meniscus contusion, for which he had to give up for the night giant slalom in Schladming (Austria) on Wednesday.

Although Odermatt was in the Swiss-Ski squad for the race in Schladming, he canceled at short notice. Now the Nidwaldner is called up again. And according to Blick information, he will also start in the Super-G races. After the competitions in Italy, only one slalom in Chamonix (F) is on the agenda before the World Championships in Courchevel/Méribel.
Also in the Swiss squad for Cortina D’Ampezzo are Stefan Rogentin, Gino Caviezel, Justin Murisier, Loïc Meillard, Niels Hintermann, Gilles Roulin and Alexis Monney. (cat)
