Leandro Riedi has to admit defeat in the Canberra final.
Leandro Riedi loses the final at the Challenger tournament in Canberra (Aus). After the last 16 wins in a row, he has to admit defeat once again.
The 20-year-old from Zurich, who won the competitions in Helsinki and Andria in November, is defeated by Marton Fucsovics (ATP 87) 5: 7, 4: 6. The Hungarian was seeded No. 1 in Australia’s capital.
Although Riedi breaks three times against the winner of the Geneva Open 2018, he also gives up his own serve five times.
Riedi advances to position 135 in the world rankings. He now travels to Melbourne where he will attempt to secure a ticket to the main draw of the Australian Open in qualifying. (SDA)
