Schmid and Kriens-Lucerne expand their leadership position
Leader Kriens-Lucerne has to do an increasing run to win. Meanwhile there is no victory for the Kadetten Schaffhausen again.
Kriens-Lucerne can once again rely on Andy Schmid.
Leader Kriens-Luzern wins in the NLA at table penultimate RTV Basel thanks to an increase in performance in the second half 36:26 – at the break the guests only lead 19:17.
Tim Rellstab (9) and top director Andy Schmid (8) are responsible for 17 of the 36 goals scored by Central Switzerland, with one miss each.
Thanks to the fifth win in a row, Kriens-Lucerne is now two points ahead of the defending champion Kadetten Schaffhausen, who did not get past the 31:31 in the home game against fourth-placed Suhr Aarau. The cadets must be happy about the point win, Odinn Rikhardsson scored the 31:31 with a penalty after the final siren. The 31:30 of the guests through Nikos Sarlos falls 15 seconds before the end. Schaffhausen remain without a win in their third championship game in a row (two draws).
BSV Bern beat St. Otmar St. Gallen in front of their home crowd 35:26. Felix Aellen distinguished himself with the Bernese as an eleven-time goal scorer. (SDA)

Wacker awarded better starting position
Wacker Thun is in the European Cup, the third most important competition in the European Cup, in the first leg of the 3rd round at home against the Greek champions Olympiakos Piraeus on the best way to a good starting position. After 35 minutes, the Bernese Oberland lead 18:11.
In the end they have to settle for a 24:22 victory. Goalkeeper Marc Winkler, who makes 19 saves and has a defense rate of 46 percent, deserves a special mention at Wacker.
