The 23-year-old from Zurich already held this position before the fifth stage, in which he finished tenth, six seconds behind British winner Simon Yates. Two places behind, Marc Hirschi reached the finish line at the same time, which was enough for 11th place in the overall ranking.
Australian Jay Vine, a local, won the tour. The 27-year-old debutant in this multi-stage race distanced Yates by eleven seconds. Third was the Spaniard Pello Bilbao. (SDA/sme)
