Is there still a big reconciliation at FC Luzern? The two shareholders Bernhard Alpstaeg and Josef Bieri met on Saturday for a discussion. Confidentiality has been agreed on the content. But as Blick found out, it should have been an open and civilized exchange.

The Extraordinary General Meeting is currently not being shaken. It is still scheduled for Thursday, November 3rd and will take place after the regular general meeting of FC Luzern Innerschweiz AG. Majority shareholder Alpstaeg then wants to replace the entire board of directors and put the board alone in the future. He recently confirmed this in no uncertain terms. “I’ll pull it off,” said the 77-year-old patron of the “Luzerner Zeitung”.

If it wasn’t for the minority shareholder Josef Bieri. It is true that he cannot take legal action against his fellow shareholders. But he is vehemently committed to maintaining the current leadership of the club. And as he told the LZ in mid-October, “hope dies last”. In the history of the dispute over the FCL, a few more chapters should be added by next Thursday.
