Seger and Co. meet in St. Moritz for the Legends Game
The Swiss ice hockey celebrities gather in St. Moritz on Sunday. There is a lot on offer in the ice arena Ludains.

The Engadin invited to the legends game on Sunday. The term could not have fitted better, players like Marcel Jenni, Reto von Arx (46) and Mathias Seger (45) lace up their skates. Pauli Jaks (51) dives around in goal, he can still do it well. And HCD President Gaudenz Domenig is watching from the stands.
Mathias Seger leads the “Old Stars and Legends”, Sandro Rizzi (44) a selection of all-stars from former St. Moritz players. National director Lars Weibel (48) should also have been on the field with the “Legends”, but was unable to do so at short notice. “A small disc herniation bothers me,” says the former goalie.
The chat has been held every year since 2017, but the last two legend games could not take place due to Corona. The event was last held in Zernez in 2020. The credo of the legend game: do something good for the region.
6:6 after a penalty shootout
Before the big highlight, the little fans can hunt for autographs in the Ludains ice arena in St. Moritz and can go on the ice with the big ones: ice hockey school. ZSC legend Seger: “One likes to give something back, the children radiated a lot of joy.”
At the peak of the packed ice hockey day (at minus 9 degrees), the legends then show why they were among the greatest. Although only in slow motion, but still. The game ends 6:6 after a penalty shootout. There is no extension of the penalty shootout. Probably also because of the freezing temperatures.
“I told you so”
The well-deserved congratulations are given after the game. Seger had said before the start that it would end in a draw (“2:2!”) and should be right. “I told you so, a draw,” says the former ZSC captain with a big laugh.
Claudio Micheli (52) also shows that there is plenty of fun in St. Moritz. After getting down to business a little harder in a duel with his former team-mate Mattia Baldi, Baldi is surprised, but then puts on a casual grin. Micheli is infected by this. The two-time Zurich champion player afterwards: “I still had an open account with Baldi, one from earlier in training.”
