1/5
Granerud wins the start of the tour.
After a moderate qualification, Deschwanden already touches down after 107.5 m in the opening jump. In addition to the modest distance, the elimination in the knockout duel against Robert Johansson is annoying. The Norwegian, who was third a year ago, does not fly much further than the Swiss at 113.5 m.
Deschwanden had finished 10th in 2021 and led a Swiss team that brought three jumpers into the top 15 in Simon Ammann (13th) and Killian Peier (14th). The team is currently in a deep state. Only Deschwanden is nominated for the tour.
Superior to Granerud
The winner of the opening competition comes from Norway and is called Halvor Egner Granerud. He confidently asserts himself ahead of the two Poles Piotr Zyla and Pawel Kubacki. Granerud initially missed the hill record by just one meter – he jumped 142.5 meters in the first round. With almost 139 meters in the second he finally bagged the victory. (SDA)
