Alain Sutter in lederhosen.
Alain Sutter (54), July 1994 to October 1995:
Sutter and Bayern Munich is not a love affair. After a strong World Cup in 1994 in the USA, the left foot switched from Nuremberg to Munich. Sutter is used fairly regularly under Giovanni Trapattoni, but Bayern only finish the season in 6th place. After all, they reach the semi-finals of the Champions League. Sutter then moved to SC Freiburg, where he thrived again before retiring with Dallas Burn in America.
Ciriaco Sforza (52), July 1995 to July 1996 and July 2000 to August 2002:
Sforza played a total of three seasons with Bayern and won both the Uefa Cup (1996) and the Champions League (2001) and two championship titles with them. While he played both games in the Uefa Cup final against Bordeaux, he did not play in the Champions League final against Valencia due to a meniscus injury. He made a remarkable 101 games for Bayern.
Xherdan Shaqiri (31), July 2012 to January 2015:
As a 20-year-old, Shaq moved from FCB to Säbener Strasse for around 12 million. The Nati star completed 52 Bundesliga games for Munich. His most successful season is the first when he wins the treble as a noble joker for Arjen Robben or Franck Ribéry. On the way to victory in the Champions League, Shaqiri only makes two short appearances in the seven games in the knockout phase, and he does not play in the final. Shaq is being used less and less under Heynckes’ successor Pep Guardiola, which is why he was drawn to Inter Milan in January 2015 with seven titles under his belt.
