Marcus Sörensen had to come off the ice injured in the game against the SCL Tigers on Tuesday evening. However, investigations on the following day give the all-clear.

While the game against Langnau had already been decided for some time (5:0 after 12 minutes), Fribourg-Gottéron almost lost even more in the Emmental. In the 45th minute, Marcus Sörensen had to come off the ice injured after a collision with his former teammate Matthias Rossi.
The Swede, who did not return to the game after the clash, was examined on Wednesday morning. He was relieved that the tests had turned up nothing serious. The Swede was already on the ice in training on Thursday. “He will play against Davos on Friday,” said Christian Dubé, the club’s coach and sporting director.
Groundbreaking games are ahead
This season Sörensen was not spared bad luck. In his first year on the Saane, he has played only 24 games so far. He started the championship late after breaking a finger in a Champions Hockey League game. After a few weeks of “searching”, Sörensen’s performance explosion followed in early January: he scored 16 points in eleven games and was instrumental in his team’s good phase.
So the moment of shock has no consequences for him. Friborg can count on their striker in the important games against Davos and Bern. The Dragons are currently in sixth place, tied with the Bündners and only three points ahead of the Bernese.
