Lena Häcki-Gross finishes fifth in Kontiolahti.
A few hours after the disappointing men’s result, the women’s team still managed to achieve a good Swiss relay result at the World Cup in Kontiolahti (Fin).
While the men failed miserably in their Top 6 project, Amy Baserga, Elisa and Aita Gasparin as well as Lena Häcki-Gross – in this starting order – are convincing. Over 4 x 6 km, the Swiss are right behind the top nations right from the start. And with fifth place, they in turn easily achieve the top 6 target.
At the top, the victory cannot be taken away from the Swedes by the Öberg sisters. It is followed by Germany, Norway and France. (mpe)
