The spectators will get to see the Swedish top club Frölunda HC at the Spengler Cup 2023.
Frölunda HC will be playing for the Spengler Cup title in Davos for the first time at the end of 2023. The team from Gothenburg was already part of the field of participants in 2021, but Corona prevented the tournament from taking place just over a year ago.
Frölunda is a five-time Swedish champion (most recently in 2019) and has shone in the Champions Hockey League several times in the past (four titles since 2016).
Frölunda’s participation in the Spengler Cup means that Henrik Tömmernes (32) will also be seen on Swiss ice next season – even if only for a short time. The defense strategist from Geneva is moving back to his native Sweden from Servette in the spring.
