Marco Kohler (pictured) takes second place behind teammate Franjo von Allmen.
The second guard of Swiss speed riders shone in the European Cup with a double success. Franjo von Allmen won the downhill in Orcières, France, ahead of Marco Kohler.
For the 21-year-old Von Allmen it is the first win and first podium in the European Cup. Kohler, who is four years his senior and who, as a junior, was attested to have a similar level of talent as his colleague Marco Odermatt before he was thrown back by injuries, took the lead in the discipline ranking with his third podium finish within 17 days. Josua Mettler is the leader of the overall standings, thirteenth on Sunday in Orcières. (SDA)
