Swiss-Ski, headed by director Urs Lehmann, will in future work more closely with the Austrian and German associations.
In the future, Swiss-Ski will cooperate more closely with the national ski associations of Austria (ÖSV) and Germany (DSV). The three parties signed a corresponding agreement on the sidelines of the Hahnenkamm races in Kitzbühel. The new form of cooperation is about mutual support and close cooperation on cross-border, strategic measures, the associations said.
This is particularly interesting in light of the fact that, for example, the central marketing of the TV and media rights for World Cup events is the flagship project of Johan Eliasch, President of the World Federation FIS. Swiss-Ski, ÖSV, DSV and the Croatian association are questioning his re-election, a hearing at the beginning of December before the CAS Sports Court was initially unsuccessful.
“As sportingly and economically successful snow sports nations, we see ourselves as having an obligation to all athletes and to skiing as a whole,” says Diego Züger, Marketing Director of Swiss-Ski, in the joint statement. The new cooperation will bundle strengths and know-how even better than before. (SDA)
