Olympic champion Beat Feuz will stay away from the rest of the Swiss downhill team in preparation for the upcoming World Cup winter. At least for a few weeks. While his teammates will be traveling to a snow camp in Chile at the end of August, the Emmentaler wants to prepare on the glacier in Zermatt.

«Since I injured my Achilles tendon in Chile in 2015, I have only skied on the glaciers in Valais in the summer. And that obviously didn’t work so badly,” says the 35-year-old, who has won the overall downhill World Cup four times in the last five years, with a mischievous grin.
