Headfirst through the skies of Canada: Noé Roth wins a World Cup competition for the third time in Le Relais.
The man from Baar showed strong performances in all three jumps. Even in the super final of the top 6, in which the competition starts again from scratch, he ended up without a wobble.
Roth is currently the safest value in the Swiss team. He had already finished second in the first two competitions of the season. The 22-year-old can look forward to the World Championships in Bakuriani in a month’s time as he has even more difficult three-flip, five-twist jumps up his sleeve. In Georgia at the latest, Roth will also be challenged by the missing Chinese in Canada.
The young Andrin Schädler from Ottenbach reached the super final for the first time in his career. The man from Zurich showed a jump with a high degree of difficulty, but did not land perfectly – 6th place. Pirmin Werner, the winner of Ruka’s opening event, missed the final for the second time in seventh place. (SDA)
