The Uefa Supercup should have taken place in Kazan, Russia, on August 16th. But that won’t happen now, because Uefa takes the game away from the Russians because of the war of aggression against Ukraine.
Instead, the game between the winner of the Champions League and that of the Europa League is now to take place in Piraeus, Greece. Real Madrid won the last game in Helsinki, Finland, 2-0 against Frankfurt.
Last year’s Champions League final should have been played in Russia, but was moved to Paris by Uefa after the outbreak of war. (bjl)
