Marc Wieser extends his career for another season.
The striker extends his contract with HC Davos for another season. Apart from a three-year detour to EHC Biel (2011 – 2014), the man from Prättigau has played his entire career with the record champions. Marc Wieser has played over 700 games for Davos to date, scoring over 330 points. In the current season too, Wieser is one of the top 5 scorers in Graubünden with 20 scorer points (11 goals / 9 assists).
Since HCD had already extended many of the expiring player contracts in autumn, the fans were wondering whether there was still room for the crowd’s favourite, Wieser. This has now been answered with his strong performances and the new contract.
“With Marc we not only have an extremely experienced and versatile winger, he is one of the best point collectors again this season. He also has an important role in our special teams. We are glad that such a veteran not only continues to stand with us on the ice, but also has an influence in our wardrobe, »sports director Jan Alston is quoted as saying in the media release.
Marc Wieser’s brother Dino (33), who stormed at his side for many years, had to end his career last summer due to a severe concussion. The younger of the Wieser brothers is currently doing a stint in the coaching staff of the HCD first team. (just)
