It would be about all the important world titles
Will there soon be a mega fight between Fury and Usyk?
In less than two months there should be a mega fight between the heavyweight boxers Tyson Fury (34) and Oleksandr Usyk (35). It would be about no less than all four important World Cup titles.

In March there could be a boxing showdown between Tyson Fury…
Tyson Fury (34) against Oleksandr Usyk (35) – two absolute superstars of the boxing scene are scheduled to enter the ring at the beginning of March.
Frank Warren, the promoter of the British heavyweight boxer, confirmed to the radio station “talkSPORT” that Usyk had been sent the draft contract. The fight is scheduled to take place on March 4th, especially since the 70-year-old is already planning a rematch for the fall.
All important world titles are at stake
And where should the two compete against each other? “Wherever the most money is being bid,” says Warren. So far there have been no offers or inquiries outside of the UK. He himself would welcome the mega fight at London’s Wembley Stadium.
But the “Rumble in the Jungle” (1974) in Zaire (now the Democratic Republic of the Congo) between Muhammad Ali († 74) and George Foreman (74) or the “Thrilla in Manila” (1975) between Ali and Joe Frazier († 67 ) are examples of going where the money is right. And Warren is sure: “The two will do the same.”
It is clear that a possible duel would be about everything. Because Fury has been the WBC world champion since his victory over Dereck Chisora (39) in December 2022, Usyk holds the other three important world titles from the IBF, WBA and WBO associations. The Ukrainian got it in 2021 thanks to a win over Anthony Joshua (33) and defended it in the rematch last August. This means that the winner would ultimately have all the world championship belts in his possession. (che)
