Floodlight failure in the stadium and groaning alarm in the TV studio
Youngster redeems Liverpool’s B-Elf on strange FA Cup night
Thanks to their B-Elf, Liverpool FC are in the fourth round of the FA Cup. In the meantime, the floodlights in the stadium went on strike briefly and in the TV studio a youtuber caused red heads with groaning noises.

Relief: Liverpool beat Wolverhampton Wanderers 1-0 in the FA Cup and celebrate their first win of the 2023 calendar year.
After the last three games without a win, Liverpool FC clinched their first win in the 2023 calendar year in the third round of the FA Cup. Coach Jürgen Klopp relies on a B-Elf in the replay against Wolverhampton Wanderers, which was due to the draw in the first game 10 days ago. He leaves the big top stars on the bench.
The first excitement of the game comes after just 20 seconds: during a Wolves attack, all the floodlights at the Molineux Stadium in Wolverhampton go out out of nowhere. It’s pitch dark, only the advertising boards are still lit. But after a few seconds the spook is over and the lights go on again.
Harvey Elliott provided the sporting highlight of the game in the 13th minute. The 19-year-old Briton, who works for Liverpool, takes heart from a distance and scores to make it 1-0, which is well worth seeing. In the end, the minimalist result is enough for the “Reds” to get ahead.
Moaning in the TV studio
Another curiosity takes place off the pitch that evening, namely in the TV studio of the “BBC”. During pre-game coverage, ex-footballer Gary Lineker is about to ask a question when groans are heard in the background.
Lineker meanwhile takes it with humor: “It’s a bit loud here in the studio. Someone must be sending something to a phone,” he says with a grin. During the game, the former England international then shared a picture of an old cell phone covered in adhesive tape on Twitter. He writes: “Well, we found this stuck behind the scenes. As for the sabotage, it was quite amusing.”
Youtuber takes charge of incident
And the culprit has already been found: The Youtuber “Jarvo”, whose real name is Daniel Jarvis, claims the action on Twitter for himself. Accordingly, he called the cell phone, which he had previously installed in the studio, from home and thus triggered the noise. He streamed the action live on his YouTube channel.
It’s actually not the first time Jarvis has struck: in September 2021 he ran onto the pitch at an England cricket match and was fined with a two-year stadium ban nationwide.
Jarvis is now being celebrated on the Internet for his latest coup, the stream has already had over 290,000 views. The “BBC”, on the other hand, finds it less funny. The TV station apologizes for the incident in a statement and announces investigations. (bjl)
